Onboarding
Our new product is a powerful tool for making decision. It helps you analyze different options, compare their pros and cons, and choose the best one for your situation.
Form a team
One of the key steps in problem-solving is to form a team of stakeholders who have a stake in the problem and its resolution. A stakeholder is someone who is affected by the problem or who can influence the outcome of the solution.
A team of stakeholders can help to define the problem, identify the root causes, criteria and generate and evaluate possible solutions. A team of stakeholders should include people from different perspectives, backgrounds, and roles. The team should also have a clear leader, moderator of the discussion, who can coordinate the activities and communicate with other stakeholders.
Define the problem
The problem definition is the first step. To ensure that everyone's perspective is considered, we invite all stakeholders to share their opinions on what the problem is and how it affects them. Then, we will conduct a vote to determine the most common and urgent aspects of the problem. The moderator will synthesize the results and present the best description of the problem for further discussion.
Establish criteria
The next step in problem-solving is to set the criteria for evaluating the possible solutions. To do this, we need to involve all the stakeholders who are affected by the problem. We can ask them to share their opinions and preferences on what makes a good solution. Then, we can use a voting system to rank the criteria based on their importance and relevance. The moderator can review the results and select the most suitable criteria for the problem.
Consider alternatives
The third step in the problem-solving process is to consider different alternatives for the solution. To do this, all stakeholders can share their opinions and perspectives on the possible options. Then, all stakeholders can vote on the alternatives based on the criteria that were set in the previous step. The moderator can then select the best alternatives based on the voting results and the problem definition.
Identify the best alternative
The last step in the problem-solving process is to select the best alternative for solving the problem. This step involves evaluating and comparing the different alternatives that were generated in the previous step, and choosing the one that best meets the criteria and goals of the problem. One way to select the best alternative is to have all the stakeholders vote on their preferred option from the list of alternatives.
Remember it
Remembering results is a valuable skill that can save you time and effort in the future. If you encounter a similar problem with the same criteria, you will not have to repeat the same steps or reopen the issue. Instead, you can apply what you learned from the previous results and move on to the next challenge.
