Create/use a mind map Template (EasyMind 3.10.0 & 1.0.39-AC)

When creating a mind map - you can use a template or create a new mind map from scratch. There are 3 types of templates in EasyMind:

  • Built-in templates - created by us, visible to everyone

  • Admin templates - created by your admin, visible to everyone

  • User template - created by a user, visible only to the user

Built-in templates

Built-in templates can be found on the first dialog you will see after adding the EasyMind macro or opening the EasyMind app.

Currently, there are 5 built-in templates - Brainstorming, Project management, Retrospective, Sprint planning and User story mapping. You can choose a template or create a new mind map from scratch by choosing Empty mind map.

Admin template

Admin templates are created by organization admin in app administration (Confluence administration → Atlassian Marketplace → Easymind administration). Admin creates template for the whole organization (all EasyMind users can use it).

EasyMind administration looks like this:

A mind map from the template is created in the create dialog (Templates tab).

A user will see it like this:

User template

Users can create templates on their own, but they can be used/viewed only by them.

In the previous screenshot above, you can see “+ Add Template”, after clicking on it, EasyMind opens Template mode where you can create your template.

After you save it, it can be found by the creator in the create dialog (Templates tab) together with admin templates.
